The Taylor Cultural Arts Commission

The Taylor Cultural Arts Commission was formed on May 4, 2004 by the City of Taylor, Parks & Recreation Department. The purpose of our commission is to promote advancement of the arts in the City of Taylor.

Quality of life is what makes a community great, and by increasing cultural opportunities the ultimate goal is achieved. The commission's first act was to start a 501c3 foundation, the "Friends of the Arts", to raise funds to support our goals.

What this diverse group of people has in common is the ability to make our community more vibrant with a goal to eventually make a more robust economy. There is a wealth of local talent in the City of Taylor, and the commission has drawn on these talented people in many different ways over the past three years. We hope that you will consider joining us in our quest to bring cultural arts to the forefront in the City of Taylor.
